Faith in the face of uncertainty

🏵️ Memory Verse 🏵️  Matthew 14:22-33 (NIV): It Reads.... 22. Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.  23. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone. 24. And the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.  26. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. 27. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28. "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29. "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  30. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beg...

Embracing a Brighter Tomorrow: Stepping into the New Year with Faith and Hope

Image
Memory Verse :  Isaiah 43:19 - "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Message : As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we're reminded that each passing year brings its own set of opportunities, challenges, and uncertainties. But as Christians, we're called to face the future with faith, hope, and confidence. In our memory verse, Isaiah 43:19, God declares, "See, I am doing a new thing!" This promise reminds us that God is always working, always creating, and always doing something new in our lives. So, what does it mean to step into the new year with faith and hope? Here are a few key takeaways: 1. Leave the past behind:  Don't let past mistakes, failures, or regrets hold you back from embracing the new year. Instead, learn from your experiences and use them as stepping stones for growth. 2. Focus on the present:  Rather than getting bogg...

There's Power in the Word of Prophecy!

🌺Memory Verse🌺: "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12 (NIV). Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, I want to remind you of the power that lies in the word of prophecy. In the Bible, we see numerous instances where prophecies were spoken, and they came to pass. As it is written in Jeremiah 1:12, "The Lord said to me, 'You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.'" From the prophecies of Isaiah to the prophecies of Revelation, we see the power of God's word unfolding. As our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." But prophecy is not just limited to the Bible. In our own lives, we can experience the power of prophecy when we hear a word from God, spoken through H...

Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be frightened, for I am your God.   I will strengthen you and help you;   I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Bible Reading: The bible reading is taking from Matthew 14:22-33 (NIV) Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there. The disciples were in trouble far out to sea, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o'clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, "It's a ghost!" But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't b...
