There's Power in the Word of Prophecy!
🌺Memory Verse🌺:
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12 (NIV).
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, I want to remind you of the power that lies in the word of prophecy. In the Bible, we see numerous instances where prophecies were spoken, and they came to pass. As it is written in Jeremiah 1:12, "The Lord said to me, 'You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.'"
From the prophecies of Isaiah to the prophecies of Revelation, we see the power of God's word unfolding. As our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."
But prophecy is not just limited to the Bible. In our own lives, we can experience the power of prophecy when we hear a word from God, spoken through His servants. When we receive a prophecy, it's not just a mere utterance; it's a declaration of God's intentions, a promise of what is to come. As the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 14:3, "But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort."
However, for prophecy to come to pass, we need to have faith. We need to trust that God's word is true and that He is able to bring it to pass. As Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
When we have faith, we can see the power of prophecy unfold in our lives. As Jesus said in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Now, I'd like to share a personal testimony that illustrates the power of prophecy.
Testimony titled: Test the Word of God and See!
Just recently, a prophecy was spoken in our church that brought a woman and her 3-month-old baby to our attention. The prophecy declared that my wife and I would be the ones to care for this child. At first, it seemed daunting, but we chose to have faith in the word of prophecy.
The first challenge we faced was providing for the baby's needs. When I went to buy milk for the baby, I realized I didn't have enough cash. I had to look for ways to borrow money online. But God had other plans.
The next morning, I received an unexpected alert from my police cooperative, which had been pending for 11 months. And if that wasn't enough, when I went to the market to buy foodstuff, a stranger offered to pay for my groceries.
But the most astonishing part was when I received an alert of NGN48,933.33, which was the exact amount I needed to cover the baby's expenses. This was a direct answer to our prayers, and it's a living testimony to the power of prophecy.
💥End of Testimony💥.
Beloved, this testimony is a reminder that when we receive a prophecy, we should have faith that God will bring it to pass. We should trust that He is able to provide for our needs, even when it seems impossible. As Psalm 37:4-5 assures us, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this."
So, I urge you to hold on to the prophecies that have been spoken over your life. Have faith that God will bring them to pass, and watch as the power of prophecy unfolds in your life.
Don't forget to share this testimony to those around you.
May God bless you, and may you experience the power of prophecy in your life.
Amen.
