Is Your Heart Clear with those Around You?

Introduction: As believers, we are called to live a life that reflects the love and character of God. One of the ways we can do this is by maintaining a clear heart and positive relationships with those around us. In this message, we will explore the importance of having a clear heart and discuss practical ways to apply biblical principles in our daily lives. Message: In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. It means that we have forgiven those who have wronged us, and that we are not harboring any bitterness, anger, or resentment towards others. It means that we are living a life of love, compassion, and kindness towards those around us. In Luke 10:25-37, Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, which t...

Faith in the face of uncertainty

🏵️ Memory Verse 🏵️  Matthew 14:22-33 (NIV): It Reads.... 22. Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.  23. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone. 24. And the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.  26. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. 27. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28. "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29. "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  30. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beg...

Do You Have the Spirit of Love?

Image
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, as we step into this new year, I want to remind you of a fundamental aspect of our faith: love. In 1 John 4:8, we read, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." This verse reminds us that love is not just a feeling or an action, but it is the very essence of God's nature. As we begin this new year, I urge you to make a conscious decision to cultivate the spirit of love in your lives. It's easy to get caught up in our busy schedules and daily routines, but let us not forget the importance of showing love to one another. In 1 John 4:18, we find a powerful reminder: "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." Here, John tells us that perfect love casts out fear. When we truly love, we are not motivated by fear of punishment or rejection. Instead, we are driven by a desire to serve and...
