🎵Hymn from Global Canticle

Hymn #2:
I Belong to the King
Meter: 8.8.8.8
Key: F Major
Tune: Woodworth

1.
I belong to the King of grace,
He knows my name, He knows my face;
No crown of gold, no throne I need,
His love alone is royal seed.

2.
He walks with me through school and play,
He guards my heart in every way;
I’m not too young to hear His voice,
In Him I live, in Him I rejoice.

3.
So let me sing with all I am,
A child of God, a little lamb;
I’ll grow in truth, I’ll stand and bring
My life to serve the risen King.

🌦️Story of the Week: Hope’s Bright Spark

The story begins...
    Hope’s lantern glowed golden when he encouraged others. When the village dried up, everyone feared they’d go thirsty. Hope stood on a rock and said, “God will provide. Let’s dig again.” They did — and water flowed! His lantern sparkled like the morning sun.

🌲Weekly Scripture for Children
“For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth."  --- Psalm 71:5 (NKJV).

🪀Weekly Activities
Fun, faith‑building actions that help kids live out with theme:
🎊 Week 1 Activity: Make a “Hope Lantern”

What You’ll Need:
- A strip of paper (about 6 inches long)
- Crayons, markers, or pencils
- Tape or glue
- String (optional, for hanging)

Instructions:
1. Draw Your Hope:
   On the strip of paper, draw or write something you’re hoping for.
   Examples:
   - Healing for someone you love
   - Doing well in school
   - God helping your family
   - Peace in your heart or home

2. Shape the Lantern:
   Roll the paper into a cylinder and tape or glue the ends together.

3. Hang It Up:
   Hang your lantern somewhere you’ll see it every day — on a wall, doorknob, or near your bed.

4. Remember:
   Every time you see your lantern, say:
    “God keeps His promises.”

💥Parent Tip:
Encourage your child to share what they drew and talk about how it feels to hope. You can even make a family lantern chain — one lantern for each person’s hope.
